Our plant is in Hermosillo, Sonora, about 175 miles (280 km) south of the Nogales–Mariposa crossing into Nogales, Arizona. Every kit is quoted three ways — pickup at the plant (FCA), delivered at the border, or delivered duty paid (DDP) to your site — so you can compare your own carrier and customs broker with ours.

Steel buildings delivered to Arizona
Arizona is the first state north of our plant. After the Nogales–Mariposa crossing, I-19 runs north to Tucson and I-10 continues to Phoenix, so a kit delivered at the border or DDP stays on one corridor from Hermosillo. The building is designed to the IBC edition your jurisdiction has adopted, with the wind, snow and seismic loads of your address, and your Arizona engineer of record reviews and stamps the calculation package. Steel buildings delivered to New Mexico
New Mexico sites are reached from Tucson on I-10 east, through Lordsburg to Las Cruces, and north on I-25 for Albuquerque and Santa Fe. The kit is designed to the IBC edition your jurisdiction has adopted. In the north of the state the ground-snow load can govern the roof, so we take every load from your site address per ASCE 7, or from your engineer of record. Your New Mexico engineer of record reviews and stamps the package; your own crew or a local erector puts the building up.
Steel buildings delivered to Texas
I-10 carries on from Las Cruces to El Paso, the part of Texas closest to our plant. For sites farther east the US leg is most of the distance, so compare the DDP price with delivery at the Nogales border and your own carrier: every kit is quoted both ways. The design follows the IBC edition your city or county has adopted, with the wind loads of your address per ASCE 7, which weigh more toward the Gulf Coast. Your Texas engineer of record reviews and stamps the calculation package.
Steel buildings delivered to California
California sites are reached west from Arizona: I-8 through Yuma to the Imperial Valley and San Diego County, or I-10 through Phoenix to the Inland Empire and Los Angeles. The design follows the California Building Code, which is based on the IBC, with seismic detailing to ANSI/AISC 341-22 where your site's seismic design category requires it. Your California engineer of record reviews and stamps the package before it goes to your building department.

Mexico
Steel buildings for Baja California and Baja California Sur
A building for the peninsula never leaves Mexico, so there is no import clearance and no US customs. It is engineered and fabricated in Hermosillo, across the Sea of Cortez, and reaches the site one of two ways:
Salt air and Pacific hurricanes
We specify the corrosion package by exposure. Close to the water: hot-dip galvanized secondary framing and purlins, a marine epoxy-polyurethane paint system on the primary frames, galvanized or prepainted sheeting, and stainless or long-life coated fasteners. Inland or sheltered sites: galvanized secondary framing and primed frames. Ask for both packages in the quote. Baja California Sur lies in the Pacific hurricane track, so buildings there are designed to the site's wind speed, with the roof-to-frame and frame-to-foundation connections to match, and the wind design is documented in the calculation.
Kit or supply and erection
You can buy the engineered kit for a local builder, with our erection drawings; supply and erection by SQ Tech outside Sonora is quoted case by case. Quotes, drawings and contracts come in English, priced in USD. Your local architect or builder files the municipal construction license; we supply the structural calculation and plans it needs.

- Structural shapes to ASTM / NMX with mill test reports; welding to AWS D1.1.

- Structural calculations and drawings for your engineer of record to review and stamp, an anchor-bolt plan with foundation reactions for your foundation designer, and erection drawings.

Do you deliver steel buildings to Texas, New Mexico and California?
Yes, as engineered kits. From the Nogales–Mariposa crossing, trucks run north to Tucson, then east on I-10 to New Mexico and El Paso or west toward California. You choose pickup at our plant (FCA), delivery at the Nogales border, or delivered duty paid (DDP) to your site. We do not erect on US sites: your own crew or a local erector puts the kit up.
Is a steel building from Mexico duty-free?
Do not assume it. Duty depends on the product's HTS classification, its origin and the rules in force on the date of entry. We supply the commercial invoice, packing list, mill test reports and a USMCA certification of origin where the product qualifies. For pickup at the plant or delivery at the border, your customs broker confirms the duty for your HTS classification before you order; with DDP, duty is part of our delivered price.
