Steel Warehouse Construction
in Mexico, by the manufacturer
SQ Tech designs, fabricates and erects steel warehouses from its own plant in Hermosillo, Sonora — 25+ years and 200+ projects across northern Mexico and the US border region. See our prefabricated steel warehouses, or the step-by-step construction process explained.
How steel warehouse construction works
1. Engineering
Structural calculation for the site's wind and seismic loads (NTCV / ASCE 7 as applicable), stamped calculation report, and shop drawings the plant fabricates from — no interpretation on the shop floor.
2. Fabrication
Primary frames, secondary steel and cladding fabricated in our Hermosillo plant with a capacity of 300 tons per month, while foundations advance on site in parallel.
3. Foundations
Isolated footings and anchor bolts set from the erection drawings. Getting anchor-bolt layout right at this stage is what keeps erection on schedule.
4. Erection
Our own erection crews raise frames, install purlins, roof and wall panels, gutters, doors and finishes. One company responsible from calculation to handover.
What we build
Distribution and logistics warehouses with clear spans for racking and dock operations
Manufacturing buildings with crane loads, mezzanines and engineered expansions
Hurricane-rated warehouses for coastal sites, engineered to NTCV / ASCE 7 wind speeds
Prefabricated building packages exported for erection by local crews
Steel building kits in standard sizes for owner-managed erection
Agricultural and cold-shell buildings where speed and cost per square meter decide
Why build with the manufacturer?
When the engineer, the fabricator and the erector are three different companies, every drawing correction crosses three desks and the schedule pays for it. SQ Tech runs all three under one roof: buildings are engineered around what the plant actually fabricates and what our own crews erect. That is how 4–14 week timelines hold.
